Right,

Now I just don't get it. We allow asylum seekers, possible Al Quada cells and countless eastern Europeans into our country. Some of them work like the Eastern Europeans, some are just here because they are so poor at home that they see the UK as a diamond field, some are just damn lazy and are sponging of our goverment and may I add our taxes, and some are here to kill us in tube and bus bombings.

Now in amongst the good is people like Yakubu, who wants to play his profession amongst our society and that is admirable, same as it is with the Polish who are willing to work millions of hours a week where the lazy English don't.

So why is football different? Its seems this law applies here but it doesn't apply there.

What if Yakubu walked through the Channel Tunnel, turned up at Everton and was then signed. The Home Office get wind of it and say "oh no, got to go back, no work permit". But they know for a fact that there are thousands of illegal immigrants in this nation who don't have work permits, but nothing gets done.

None of it makes any sense whatsoever to me.

The funny thing is, he can't get a permit to play for us. If the deal collapse, he can still play football for boro. Isn't it silly?

Exactly. What about someone who has to get a work permit to work in a restaurant, and then moves to a pub. Do they need a new work permit?

It's crazy. And how is it that Yakubu, who has been playing in this country for ages, can't get a work permit. Yet Man United can sign two teenagers who have never even been to England before and get work permits no trouble?!

If you look at matters outside the law then yes it makes no sense at all but, using the old clich'e rules are rules we have to work within the law. Why didn't he play in those matches, did Boro stop him, was he injured or was he picked and chose not to play............TBH I would not be too upset if we lost out on this one as well if we do I can't wait until the New Year when we'll have muchos doshos to splash around on players who can and want to come and play for us!

The problem is, the money might vanish all of a sudden. Not trying to stir [Poor language removed] here but that's exactly what happen last time when we had 12 or 16 million to buy owen, the deal did not go thru and few mths later we struggle to find money to buy players!

I think when the dust settles we should take positives from the manager's voice, what he has done for the club and what he is doing.

He believes we can bring quality in, the board do and that's what we all should believe in.

It's nothing to do with football being different, or asylum seekers, for that matter. Nigeria isn't a member of the EU, so the rules on work permits are different than for Poles and other East European members.

It's simply red tape, and these things can take months and even years to resolve for some people, so if the Yakubu issue is resolved within a couple of weeks, then it's the millionaire footballer, with the help of our club's expensive legal team, who's had the preferential treatment.

Their just trying to get some media attention to show that their actually working, and very hardworking!

THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN F*&KING HARDWORKING ON GETTING MANNY'S DEAL APPROVED.

ASSHATS !!!

(Sorry, rant over and I promise never to type in all caps again...)

Funny that he has been over here for so long and no problems.

Its a bollocks rule and you know it. We all know it.
