Not bad news that Honda specifically have quit, but deffo bad news that one of the highest funded teams is leaving the sport at such notice. Quite possibly won't be the last if the 'recession' continues Lets hope some gazzillionaires feel the need to splash out on a new toy despite the global crisis
aside from 1000 staff losing their jobs (happy christmas!) it means only 18 cars on the grid next season. i can't see a buyer coming in, especially if the gold, silver, bronze award replaces the points system next season.
I think they heard about the proposed Kirkby Grand Prix and got worried about the speed bumps on Whitefield Drive. I don't have a problem with them but I drive a Renault.
For Button - has anyone been penciled in to take Coultard's spot at Red Bull? - Webber might miss out as well since he broke his leg last week getting hit by a car...
Can't see any car company wanting to throw their 200m into the ring right now, maybe Mitsubishi, the VW Group (Audi, Bentley, Lambo etc) or Tata (not joking!), the big American's are tapped out and most of the other big names are already involved...
