Make him/her take an enterance exam for PRE-school. Yes, here in Connecticut, you apply for a pre-school and your kid has to take an entrance exam to see if they are smart enough to attend.

That's right, a 3 year-old taking an entrance exam for school. How does that make the parents feel? How about the kid?

Bleedin' ridiculous!!

in england, there was the 'eleven plus'. it was some time ago and was discriminatory.

no legal actions as yet, but in the current culture of compensation culture, who knows.

dylan, which individuals in your opinion have spent the most hours with your children?

Lisa and then me. And it isn't opinion, it is fact. She has spent the most time with them, being a stay-at-home-mum and me working.

more power to you.

my point was never derisory (if that even makes sense at this time) to you and yours. it was in fact a reference to something earlier.

in the simplest of terms, little boys like to learn off their fathers how to act, in the same sense that little girls like to follow their mothers example.

(y) I know exactly what you were getting at. Maybe another thread you have been debating on recently.

And the fact of the matter is, (without tooting my own horn (yes, I used the word 'tooting' :P )) Ethan thinks there is nothing I can't do and wants me to do anything with me. I am his hero. I am certain this isn't exclusive to me and him, but across the broad spectrum of father/son relationships.

I like footy, he likes footy. I like Everton, he likes Everton. I wanna play on the xBox, he wants to play sat right next to me. I like Subaru's and BMW's....you get the picture. The most important figure in a childs life, and 99.99% of the time the biggest influence over how a child will turn out, it mummy and daddy.
