Joined GOT to read some of the Donovan threads, and got stuck in.
Let's see.. pretty long term football fan here (I will try to use the proper terminology here, because I know a lot of fans in England and beyond react to the word "soccer" like vampires react to garlic, holy water and sunlight. *grins*), was hooked in the old days by the then-Championship Manager series, amongst other games.. Former season ticket holder to the local side (The New England Revolution, who sent one of our players to the EPL, you might have heard of him.. Clint Dempsey?)
At first I thought GOT was going to be something to drop in, read, and when Donovan's loan ended, well, that would be the end of it.. but I like the discussions so far, it's knowledgeable without being esoteric, Welcoming but still having personality.. and the fact that I can identify with the Merseyside derby.. it's kinda like the one that dominates the area here in the US where I live.. although thank goodness the Yankees and the Red Sox don't have stadiums as close as Goodison and Anfield.. we'd never get the Yankee stench out of friendly Fenway Park.
