Dear all

I have finally managed to guess my password for my old account so I can post this response to what just happened. I posted a topic under a new login "surreytoffee" about an IPhone forum viewer as I could not remember my old password. I promptly received two replies which seemed a bit odd and slightly rude. So I waited a bit longer to see if anyone would actually be nice in reply to my first post. I then got told I was banned for life for being a spammer!!!!!!

It now makes sense that the two replies I got were from people who assumed I was promoting the website of the company that sells the app. I can categorically state that I innocently posted the topic and have nothing to do with the website or the application. I really apologise if I have broken a forum rule or upset anyone but I am NOT a spammer and was asking a sincere and honest question. I don't know how to prove this to you guys and I half expect to have this account banned too :(

I honestly did not mean to annoy anyone. Please don't ban me!

It's really not the done thing to post a link to a website in your first post m8, hence why you were banned.
If you continue to post here, I'm sure the admins will let you stay, as they are very fair and reasonable lads, but that's their decision obviously.

If you do stay, then welcome to GOT. (y)

Nip over to the appropriate forum and intoduce yourself to one and all and just settle down unless of course you are also known as Chico

I banned you. You may well not be a spammer but its very suspicious that your first post was plugging an Iphone app and linking a website. Why look for a peice of software to install or be installed by a site on your very first post on what is primarily a football forum, one that with a single post you havnt really used!

We like to think of ourselves as a welcomeing bunch here, but spam is never tolerated. If banning you was a mistake on my behalf, i will apoligise. I wont ban your current profile and will give you the benefit of the doubt, but i will be keeping an eye on your posts.

No hard feelings mate I know you guys have to try and stop the spammers. I just never realised my post looked like spam. I just saw the app and thought it looked cool. Typing this response through the phones browser now and find it quite painful!

Well unlike most of the country Ive had to work today:( and now I'm home the wife won't get off the laptop!
