I think its safe to say a few on here know their stuff when it comes to stuff like this...

Any recommendations?

Doesn't have to do anything special, just cheap ink cartridges.

cheapskate:D
i got an epson with scanner the lot, dx8400 i think, the epson ink is dear but as always a couple of weeks after it came out you could get compatable cartridges on ebay, i got about 6 sets for the price of 1 real set, from a bloke in bolton. you can bung memory cards into it, memory sticks etc in fact you dont even have to use a pc to print your pics, was about £85 when i got it, quite bulky though, but handy for use as a photocopier and all the rest.

it was 12 months ago and just launched i've no doubt they are a lot cheaper now, i wanted a scanner though and one day you'll find out why!! when i return home drunk and email you a scan of my butt with my spuds in shot as well. for that alone it will be worth every penny:D

I use a Canon Pixma iP1800. Cheap printer, cheap ink and great print quality. Looks cool too!

It hasnt got an LCD preview monitor though has it?

Reidys is winning so far, if I get Reidys DX8400, I will not only look like I know my stuff with my LCD preview monitor... ( ) i also wont let him forget that I got it for half what he paid

Mine is a HP Laserjet 1600, professional quality prints, the ink is quite expensive but the ink that came with it has lasted me for 2 years so you don't need to buy them very often

Pah. Lexmark Z640 £20 from Asda ftw.
