Have been enjoying being a lurker on GOT these past few weeks while the change in manager has been unfolding. great site lads.Felt obliged to post this lest I be pruned from the membership database!
Really excited by the appt. of RM. I sincerely hope he can deliver a better level of entertainment for us Bluenoses. Moyes improved us over his 11 tear tenure......but I found it all too hard to stay up late into the night here in Adelaide to watch his defensive tactics!
I thank the butcher from Lower Heswall who took me and my brother to our first game.....I remember my Dad informing us on a Sat morning that we were to go to a football match that afternoon. That game was Newcastle Utd and I think Joe Royle was in the team and John Connelly was on the wing......probably late 60's. Could this be right? Since then I have been part of the family. Thank God it was not the other lot!
Highlights for me.....being in Rotterdam and waking up on the morning of the Final and finding the city invaded by Blue and white army. A day and night I shall never forget......made me feel proud to be an Evertonian!
