i'd teach the players about one touch football, about utilising pace up front.

having the ball pinged into a midfielder who either flicks it over the defence, or around/between defenders.

its just building understanding and reading certain passes/situations.

so when defences drop deep to neutralise pace - then what, i'd need quality wide players able to put good crosses in and preferably beat RB's or LB's and get to the by line, in such a situation a lot depends on the front men but also a scholes type player that loiters a few yards outside the 18 yard box waiting to unleash a venomous strike is essential (see also lampard and gerrard)

football is not a difficult game, its just made to look difficult by the jason lees and brett angels of this world.

its all when and good saying what to do, but then there is the players doing it and then beyond that doing it at the right time.

If DM wasn't abot I'd jump for Brain Laws at Sheff Wed, young manager, remarkable success story of clubs associated with him, inspires players, great motivator all round good egg, I wouldn't want any of the established managers because they all come with baggage and stale ideas, as with Moyes we would need something new, adventurous and brave, Laws fits that bill perfectly.
