The reason I post this was due to having a coffee with an old colleague of mine today at motorway services. He is hybrid of Muricaaa and Hull with a Scottish father, so strange. Anyway, on the last home game of the season he was a first time visitor at Goodison to witness the mighty Ev play Spurs.
The first thing he said about the game was " Jeez, what the hell was that song you guys play when the players come out? at one point it sounded like a cat getting strangled!! How does that get the players pumped for action?? " he then went on to say he has been at Funerals with a better atmosphere.
I explained the song is tradition, and to us its special.
