...on Mourinho leaving for Madrid:

Moratti, Inter thank José Mourinho
Friday, 28 May 2010 18:38:57

President Massimo Moratti and FC Internazionale thank José Mourinho and his coaching staff for the work done during two successful seasons on the domestic and European fronts, which saw the team win two Scudettos, a Coppa Italia, an Italian Super Cup and a Champions League title.

Well, you cant get more fulsome praise than that for winning two Scudettos and their first EC for 45 years.

That Moratti fella looks well shifty.

Mourinho will have to The Extra Special One to get Real Madrid back to the top of the pile - maybe he's got a fair chance in La Liga (next year or the one after) but the Champions League is a big ask. So maybe he'll come to us in 2024 after he's conquered every other corner of Europe - or earlier if he aims to p*ss the RS off! :)

For Inter he's like Kenwright but with loads of money. Don't know about any Mafia connections. Comes across as a passionate fan who's put his money were his mouth is. I actually think a lot of shady bastards have taken advantage of him. Advisers and the like.

He's certainly spent a whole lot of money on the club down the years, and but for the last few it's generally not had much success. Where he really differs from BK (apart from the aforementioned serious wad of cash in his bank) is that he follows the European trend for giving managers precious little time to do anything. They'd seldom give coaches more than a season to do anything, often less than that. They've also had some of the finest strikers in the game down the years and seem to have ruined the majority of them. Guys like Pancev, Bergkamp, Vieri, Recoba, even Ronaldo went to Inter with huge reputations and flopped to varying degrees. Despite them having been my 'Italian team' since Italia 90 they're not an easy team to like.

I just typed "inter new stadium" into google, and look what came up

I am surprised to see Moratti even doing it publicly, seeing how Mourinho stole all the attention from Inter success by himself, talking about Real Madrid after Bayern game at press conference. What a prick.
Moratti pumped over 1 bln euros during his presidency, however they became a succesfull club when he stopped changing coaches every few months - first gave time to Mancini, but couldn't do it on european stage, and later was willing to wait with Mourinho.
Mafia or not - he is a perfect owner.
