Player Valuation: £500k
Since the return of English clubs to european competition in 1990, LFC have taken part in 55 two-legged european ties (56 with the forthcoming Athletico Madrid matches).

In a staggering 40 of those ties they have had the advantage of playing the 2nd leg at Anfield, as opposed to just 16 times being away second.

But the plot thickens further. Of the ties where they've played at Anfield second, TWO of them were originally drawn out the opposite way around but were switched for various mysterious reasons such as a furniture convention in Arnhem in 2002, no honestly.

Of the 16 ties where they've been away in the 2nd leg, 10 were in early rounds of the competition where they would've been expected to batter the opposition home and away anyway, and two were against teams that for various reasons don't play their home european ties at their own ground anyway.

Hmmmmmmm.

I have just seen the word "interesting" in the same sentence as "LFC".

Something strange is afoot at the circled K.

Definitely a surreal world moment
