Introducing myself

Hi, been following Everton for 30 years now, love the club to bits, and I've only just found this forum. Had a quick look round and it looks great!

I used to post on BK a bit and then spent a few years on Digital Spy but after being fed up with being banned for nothing thought I would jib it and try somewhere else. I posted with this user name and others such as EyeQuotient. Some ******** put two and two together and reported me, after I had pulled him up. Its like that.

I post a bit on some of the gambling forums as well, punters lounge, stuff like that.

Leeds aside, I am chuffed with how we've started the season, perhaps one or two points have got away but overall we are looking set for a good league season.

I look forward to engaging with some fellow like minded Evertonians, on footy and non-footy stuff hopefully with more latitude than the cliquey, draconian regime employed on DS.

The name, I just remember the Lancashire cricketer Graeme Fowler being dubbed Faxy Fowler instead of his usual 'Foxy', because he divorced his then wife by way of a fax.

I just found the headline amusing and I got through about 16k posts with it on Digital Spy. I'd be surprised if I got to 16k here but I will post from time to time.

I probably last used a fax in 2002 or something.

Its a bit boring to be fair, but the starting point a few years back was what happened was I told a Liverpool supporter to go and stick his head in a cow's backside. Not exactly nice but still quite mild really in comparison with some of what goes on, but I got 24 hours for that.

From then on because I held quite strong views on stuff (never expressed rudely) certain fans would grass me up. The moderators on the football bit are clueless and mostly used to settling squabbles in their big brother forum, which allows stuff that might see contributors and the site itself sued for libel. Its fair to say with proper moderation and perspective it could bring together supporters of various teams really well.

Anyway they'd just go with the majority and I got 48 hours, then a week, then two weeks at which point I just asked them to de-register me. There were and are posters quite expert in trolling and not being brought to book and consistently good posters, including from fans of other clubs (even United and Liverpool fans) were getting banned and good constructive debate was being quashed.

Never got a perma-ban, but when I then re-registered under different names they kept banning me claiming I was banned permanently. When I wrote back to explain and seek a response they decided to stop replying because doing so was going to prove embarrassing for them.

I even used to run competitions and prediction games on there but once I stopped doing them they were more than happy to stick the boot into me. That's gratitude for you.

Bunch of *******. I promise I won't swear and hopefully folk will find my thoughts constructive.

You need to pretty much live on here to get to 20mil. Just try not to get banned too much and you might get there
