I love it but I hate it in equal measure because of the cost. Superhuman achievements, but very human costs when its bad. Stay safe everyone.

it is mate and I have lost a few mates there I raced with but they all knew the risks and wouldn't want it too stop even though they had paid the ultimate price. Life is dangerous, short circuit racing is dangerous.

Michael Dunlop set an unofficial 135.531mph lap record in practice on Friday. Surpassing Hickman's official outright lap record of 135.452mph set in 2018.

These aren't top speeds, they are the average around the 37 mile course.

I was there once as a kid (1962?) at the same time as the TT, we stood at the Kirk Michael corner all through the race...once you were there you had to stay, you couldn't move.
iirc, somebody on a 125cc broke 100mph average.
we viewed it much in the manner of 'The Lion and Albert' viewed Blackpool...

They didn't think much to the ocean
The waves they were piddlin' and small
There was no wrecks and nobody drowneded
'Fact, nothin' to laugh at at all

Birchall's take 13th TT sidecar title and the lap record to boot. 120mph lap taken. For a three wheeler. Weather's been amazing.

Michael Dunlop wins the Superbike TT on his Honda. That opening lap was out of this world (standing start!). 23 TT wins. 3 short of Joey Dunlop.
