The seedings idea for the playoffs came out of the blue, purely because FIFA shat themselves that France or Portugal may not make it. The Irish must be pissed off with what amounts to a change of qualification rules mid-comp.

I would really love to see the Irish go through, together with Ukraine, Bosnia and Russia (for Billy) - that would really piss FIFA off.

Sorry to disappoint you, but the seeding took place in a time where Portugal was third in the group and Croatia was on their way to get the second place.

If any of those 2 circumstances would occure, Portugal would never be taking advantage on the occasion.

The thing was that Denmark beat Sweden and England lost to Ukraine.
