Is everyone over reacting?

I'm just hoping that when the dust settles Moshiri will clean the boardroom out, its stinks to high heaven.
You can't blame Alardyce, and I don't think there's another Manager who would have a better chance of keeping us up.
That Southampton game is the worst performance I've seen for years, and not just by an Everton side, by any premier league side.
We got hammered 3-0 last year at Southampton!

What do you mean pay off?? He keeps us in the league??

There are thousands upon thousands of managers that could do that mate!

No, I don't mean that. He could end up being brilliant for us, really, who knows?

I am not a huge fan or anything but he is a decent enough manager.

1-0 down there last season joey, the season before that we beat them 3-0 down there.
So a very happy hunting ground for us - only RM won away well but then he flopped at home ?:(
Big Sam at palace his first six games not one win - let's see if he can polish a turd and I don't mean - oh the performance was far better but we get beat 1-0!
I feel it will be another manager and team to be paid off at a high cost - what's this guy ever won accept get caught taking a bung in the England job?
We are in a poor position but this a sheer panic move imo!
= desperation!

The feeling around a club is supposed to be positive when a new manager arrives.... I really really can't believe we've done this , I'm in shock.... I would be taken anyone before allardyce, even moyes... and to top it all off Sammy Lee.... there should be a protest ... there really should .... I'm absolutely gutted

My older brother is booked to go to Huddersfield home game -I feel it will be his last game - he hates hoof ball and big bruising football!
Hes been spoilt been watching them since 1958!
John Moores would turn in his grave on the money spent and pour predicament now!

Maybe Joey, but I can't honestly recall seeing a worse performance.
Before the Southampton game I was against Alardyce, but after it I can't see anyone else other than him turning this team around.
We were poor, very very poor.
See I'm genuinely not being funny because I know you're making an honest point here and I apologise that it's you who gets my rant but... it's this attitude that I just can't get my head around. You can't see anyone in the whole world of football being able to keep a side up when they're not even in the relegation zone. It's unbelievable.

People are going about Palace being dead good now and definitely taking us over because they're some sort of unstoppable juggernaut (we'll ignore that we're supposedly the worst team ever and they couldn't even beat us at their own place for now) and yet THE SAME PEOPLE tell us only Allardyce can save us. So which is it? Are Palace awful, only saved by the genius of big sam and his team of 2000 sport scientists, or are they actually good enough to stay up with someone as dreadful as Roy Hodgson in charge? It can't be both, and yet people want to push both narratives because they simply won't have it that we're not completely doomed.

I've seen people making up what the form table says about other teams, making up stats about how bad our form has been, saying that we're worse than a Hull side who had won once in 18 games and only had about 9 players and all sorts of other bizarre stuff. WHY? It's as if people are getting some sort of perverse glee from telling everyone how awful we are, and would secretly love it if we just sneaked 17th place so they could be proved right and laud this absolute charlatan of a manager for maintaining the same points per game ratio as a rookie manager who looks like a bear in headlights and gives teamtalks by beating his chest.

No need to apologise, I didn't see it as a rant.
40 odd years I've been watching Everton and the Southampton game is the worst I can remember. I'd rather take his know how to get us safe then start again.
I'd sooner that than bring in someone and take a chance, with him we've got a chance to survive, for me anyone else would be gambling your future. Don't get me wrong, I wish there was someone else, but right now, with this gang of wasters we've got, I don't see who that could be.

Same here with the forty odd years. I genuinely thought I was overreacting when I said this was the worst performance I'd ever seen, but I see I'm not alone.
Safety is all that matters now, and if he can squeeze anything out of these clowns, it'll be worth it.
