simple question as the title states.

is it time to disband the eu ?

the current protests about immigrant workers imo are going to get bigger.(the media themselves will whip em into a frenzy just to get a story)

it doesnt help when we have a pm who says "im making british jobs for british workers " one minute , then gives a £200 million pound contract to a foriegn company who is shipping in its own workers , while elsewhere thousands of british people are being made unemployed on a weekly basis.

education ,welfare ,employment ,housing ....... does being in the eu benefit britain in any of these areas or do you feel it puts us under strain in those areas, with little in return ?

personally when i was younger i found all those areas of society tough enough (always a shortage underfunding or shortfall) , with the extra competition from the eu , i do worry and feel sorry for my kids as they are gonna have it much harder imo.

opinions on the eu and how it effects your life ?

You know what I agree (shock horror).

I work in a restaurant full of Polish kitchen staff (No english, not allowed apparently). They are a pain in the arse, out of work its ok, but if you have a tiff with one of them, it's you v the rest of Poland. They think we are talking about them because we are talking in English, yet they never speak English in the kitchen, it's all Polish.

They moan about money, they moan about hours. Tell you what, if you don't like it, theirs the airport, now **** off out of it!

ghost i worked in a couple of factories in holland and the split was about 50/50 with the cloggies, none of us used to speak dutch, not even when talking to the locals. we are the worst in the world for it and kickin' off as well.

Having worked abroad.I suppose i'm guilty of something ,but in the present situation I agree we need to look after our own people and I would not blame other countries that did likewise

so fine send 'em all back, then all the brits working abroad come back here and see how many people from "jobs that no longer exist in this country" return to boost the unemployment figures. there are economic migrants everywhere and a lot of the time they will be carrying a british passport.

Exactly, until the country is fixed, close the damn book.

We don't need to take on other countries welfare issues, especially one so large as Poland who obviously have the workforce and the population to thrive.

Be interesting to see how many Brits are actually working abroad.
