virgin media, yet another hour long internet blackout.

its starting to get to me this, branson beware.

it was so bad the helpline cut me off after a half ring 3 times.

they know what they are doing.

fuckers.

we're on AOL - load of crap:(

nothing but trouble - slow and keeps disconnecting

think it would be quicker if we did things through the post

I was with Time Warner in Hawaii. They 'effing rule!! Was getting regular downloads at ~5Mb/s from a line rated at 9Mb/s. Now I am with the local public utilities who are running a cable company to compete with the big guns. Only problems have been with our DVR which has been fixed. And they can't seem to send me a bill either!!!

Is anyone over there with an outfit called beme (or something like that), I was reading that they have connections of up to 24Mb/s!!! all for about 25 quid :o

Now that is what I call a connection - I used to be with Telewest when in the UK, and got a decent download speed - near enough to 4Mb/s.

Now I have to put up with the [Poor language removed] NZ telecom monopoly situation, so our line speed is limited to the damn substations hardware - which all means 1.5Mb/s if I'm really lucky - oh yeah and then there is all the interference from the electric fences around the place :P I spose I'd rather have our cows in the paddocks than ruining the garden ;)

Well I am on AOL broadband silver, I suppose very slow 2mbps but I do not download music or films so suits me. Never had any problems with them, so don't understand Halo. Is I something to do with them living in Welsh Wales then.

I suspect that the problem may well be with AOL Robert, like Halo I now close down my companion to prevent connection problems otherwise all sorts of trouble ensues

I'm on an building wide (3 floors) wireless optical internet connection, first floor is a computer training centre upwards of 50 pcs down there, 2nd floor my school and 3rd floor an estate agent which belongs to my in laws.

Every computer in the whole buliding uses the same single connection.

Never had a problem, but then its nowt to do with me anyway.
