Ok, Alan Hansen is hated by default but he does say some good stuff about the blues and so he has to be respected from a punditry angle.

Fernando Torres also has to be hated by default, but he is [Poor language removed] quality and nobody can deny that.

Now what Alan Hansen said last night about the way Torres remains central to the pitch at all times and very rarely roams to the wing is spot on, and that is what we need from Yakubu.

I think if AJ had adopted a similar policy he wouldn't have been chucked on the wing by the Swede.

Now that Yakubu is here, I don't mind so much because his part in the goal was awesome, so if we can keep Yakubu central and use wingers as wingers then I think we could be looking at a serious challenge for CL qualification.

Nice post Ghost. One point about AJ, when we were using 4-5-1, he had little choice but to chase after long balls from defence. Need to have the defence clearing a bit more intelligently.

Speaking of another player who unfairly hasn't got a call up. Even though SWP is having a good season I still wouldn't pick him or a healthy Lennon over Agbonlahor, he's can play physical and is just as fast as those two.
