Kopites angry because their season tickets are going up 7% for next season. Thats roughly 50% of whats needed to match the missing Champions League money - alone! (assuming the half the 15-20% of the revenue lost is matched in percentage terms by the net increase).

And that's without any spending on replacing the squad members etc and doesn't account for the increasing debt interest that is growing again next season


So their up in arms - angry again. More of the same please!

FFS these [Poor language removed] are organising an Independence Day protest on (of course) 4th July outside St Georges Hall to protest at 'dem der Yanks'.

Some ******* belter has created this declaration to be read out (selected cuts):

"When in the course of our clubs history, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the corrupting bandswhich have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the city, the separeate and equal station to which the laws of nature entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of the fans requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that no club is equal that ehy are endowed bt their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are, a holt trinity of the fans, the manager and the players. That to secure these rights Custodians of the club are instituted among men, derriving their powers from the conesnt of the supporters. That whenever any form of Custodian becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Custodians, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness...

We, therefore, the representatives of Liverpool Football Club, in General Congress, assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judges of the club for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the name, and by the authority of the good people of this club, solemnly publish and declare, that we are, and of right ought to be free and independent of tyranny; that they are absolved from all allegiance to Kop Holdings, and that all political connection between them and the state of Tom.Hicks and George Gillett jr , is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as a free and independent club, we have full power to levy war, conclude peace, contract alliances, establish commerce, and to do all other acts and things which independent clubs may of right do. And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor

I wonder how much of the increased tickets are currently winging their was to an account in Zurich of one R. Benitez.

I doubht it, he is probably thinking how them "stupido americanos" didnt see his master plan coming to pass this season.
