That SAF can bring a player from another club and improve them. Shame its not worked with Rooney. ![Thumbs Down (n) (n)](/forum/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/thumbdown.gif)

His temper is his weakness. Players will exploit it given the chance and eventually refs will look for signs of temper when none exist and will penalise him on his reputation. SAF hasn't got that through to him, and until he does he will be a liability to any team he plays for. At the moment I'm glad we took the money.
Did Rooney throw the ball at Dowd? Or did he just try and get the ball back to his team mates so they could get the free kick taken quickly? Don't think he needed to send him off, just typical of ref's wanting to get in the spotlight.
I'm not sure what the final amout was, it depended on so many things. I'm not even sure if we still have any to come. Welcome to the murkey world of football finance.
Someone wiser than me on this site will let us know.
Wayne Rooney is the reason for our success, FACT. Best £30m we ever recieved.
Still am unconvinced we have seen the whole of that £30 million though mate.
Ok we got £20m, plus Howard, Neville and Saha, still good business.
