ITV praised him as the only decent home player after Bayern beat Arsenal 3-1. I didn't even realise he was playing until 30 minutes in.

He probably is pretty good - a complete nob womble though (I'm trademarking that).

He's got quality, but because he's English the media hype him up astronomically. He tends to go missing often in games.

Probably Arsenal's only real potentially world class player.

totally overrated, what does he actually do? i don't watch him enough, but from what i see, he has a good passing range but doesn't score and certainly can't tackle. We all laugh at xavi allen, and they carry pretty much the same characteristics, one just plays the ball forward a bit more

hes also just had 15 months out injured, I don't wanna go all Naismith on you guys here, but he wont really be hitting full beans till next season

He's very good, he's also been injured for 15months so right now it's impossible to say whether he's overrated or world class. Time will tell.

I think we've got a real talent here, but the media and football fans in general are so quick to label players, let's enjoy his talent.
