Would not be the place to travel to on the weekend.

Hurricane 'Dixie' Dean is heading right for it.

At present it looks as though it will swerve the north coast of Cuba but otherwise you will hear me scream.

It looks like its heading to Cancun/Riveria Maya on the five day forecast but it can change very dramatically.

Hurricane season is upon us, oh joy.

but aren't you in Canada?????

Fly back on Saturday evening, if the hurricane stays on path it means I will get a load of rain and wind on Sunday/Monday. At present looks like Im safe from Tropical Storm winds. But that can change, I will know more when I log on tomorrow.

Gets the adrenelaine going though.

I will track that storm with extra interest Chico, take care mate(y)

We always get the edge effects of the big ones. Back in '03 when I was here last, Isabelle hit us here in Connecticut. I lived right on the water.....good times, good times ;)

Normally if the 'hurricanes' make it this far north, they are usually downgraded to Tropical Storms, as they loose all their strength on the journey.

After bumming Cuba first.

Mexico looks in for it this time. And Cuba is going to get some serious wind and rain.

Joy.

News on Sky just before mate, Dean is category three and rising to 4 or even 5 by this time tomorrow, when are you flying back, good luck mate. It is heading for Haiti and may batter Cuba the on to Mexico(y) (y) (y)

With luck we will get just the outskirts of the storm, Im protected by mountains from the south (Granma & Santiago area).

Prepare for the worst and hope for the best is my mantra.

I'd just like to say to chico to take care, I was watching CNN today* and it looks like its heading towards Cuba.

* Which I shouldn't do because that channel pisses me right off.
