Finally some good news this week for Evertonians, Everton’s young guns, Victor Anichebe and James Vaughan have both signed contracts till 2011.
Both strikers have both emerged in the first team this season and have done brilliantly so far.
Both have contributed 8 goals to Everton’s goal tally this season with each getting 4 goals a piece.
James Vaughan has cemented his place upfront in recent weeks above James Beattie and James McFadden and also Anichebe has started six games this season and has become a permanent fixture in the first team squad
Although both have had their injuries especially in recent weeks, Especially James Vaughan who was out for a season with knee problems and has done brilliantly to come back to full fitness after worries his career was over. Everton will be hoping both can do something in the remaining 2 games and fire Everton to Europe.
Both are products of the Everton youth academy and fans and the club alike will be delighted that some smashing youth is coming through to become a fixture in the first team.
