And I like the way Ronald spoke in self deprecating terms about the way the team should have been set up at the start.

Ronald tried a certain system, it wasn't working so he changed it.

James was the one who lost out when a natural target man intriduced and Del was moved out wide.

Where he belongs, IMO.....he is not cut out to be a lone striker

In fairness to James that interview was top draw from Koeman. Everything he said made sense. He made the change too early as opposed to too late which I like.

It can't be counted against McCarthy really, we changed the system and it worked, having recognised the need for a target man as they sat deeper.

I dont get the people saying to get rid of McCarthy. We seem to have this problem with a lot of players who are not the best 11 players at the club.

A club wanting to progress needs a strong squad and McCarthy is an excellent squad player to have.

Depends if he's happy being a squad player rather than automatic starter in his favoured position.
