Maybe I'm coming at it from a different angle, but if I'm a manager who just watched my team play like that on Sunday, and a player comes up to me saying I'm feeling tired, then never in a million years am I putting him in my side.
Maybe mate. I can see the argument, I just think both to blame here. I’d have thought stronger management is making them feature in some capacity, showing who’s boss.

I fear it’s your point though and probably because I know we’re wasting the time we have a player of this quality here it’s even more infuriating. I’m not saying James is blameless, not at all, I think it’s pathetic. But it’s so frustrating

It feels like a bit of a mess tonight but I'm not saying we should definitely be getting rid by any means. But it's a fairly simple one for me. He needs to be asked frankly, and to the point, are you fully commited next year because performances and results like last Sunday aren't ever going to happen again. If he says he is then great, if he's not then let him go. He's not bigger than the club and we will survive with or without him.

Undoubtedly the signing was worth the risk...but hasn’t paid off for us. Been great to seem him when he plays but his lack of fitness / managing to play consecutive games has been a massive problem when our entire gameplan seems to focus on him.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he left in the summer.
