deulofeu is a lot better than the options we have at the moment (bar mirallas) and he's only young; he was brilliant as a kid going from the second tier of Spanish football to a top Premier League side

He was overrated for what he offered us but i never dismissed his talent. If he worked hard it's what he could potentially be like, a similar level of winger to Robben, but i doubt he has the willingness to ever get to that level.

It was a fair comparison.

In the end he was nice to have but he only had about four decent games for us. Unfortunately for him when he DID appear to pick up form he got injured and then after that he was pretty dismal.

After the injury he constantly ran into players, lost the ball, sometimes was so lazy that he wouldn't control the ball and it'd roll out for a throw in. And his final ball was usually pretty dross.

We miss someone like him for width and pace, but not exactly him. I don't think he'll ever be messi or ronaldo class but if he works as hard as the talent he has deserves he could become someone like robben, which is not a bad feat at all.

I'd have him back on loan, maybe next season but i wouldn't want us splashing loads on him. There are better players at the moment that'd be better for us.

He did take a while to come back from his injury but so did Ross, fairly understandable for a young player and even experienced ones like Rooney sometimes take a while to get back up to speed.

He did pick up though, his best game for us was probably Newcastle which was just over a month after he returned.

Think they would come based on playing with stones/barkley/lukaku...they see "top name" young players and know they will be noticed internationally or by bigger clubs + will have game time.

Also if mirallas/coleman did leave OR we use TV money wisely no reason why we couldnt get one of them I think.

15-20mil isnt so big thesedays.

They'd then look at our league position and decide to stay away though
