I wouldn't spend too much in January. Prices are inflated. We need to be patient. Some of our best players are just kids. That's our golden generation. Fill in around them with an aim to have the strongest possible team when Ross, Rom, and Stones are in their mid-20's.

I tend to agree with Bobby. He didnt panic last season when Jags as out, he gave youth a chance and look how John Stones has progressed, now an England international.
Browning hasn't done anything wrong, so if we do pick up a few injuries (which we will) then I have no problem in giving him a chance to make the step up to first team football.

Going forward though we need a couple of attacking players. He definitely needs to 'dip' into the market for this; I would go all out to sign Muniain from Bilbao, if not January then definitely next summer.

I won't lie though I'm still mad that he said similar things last week then didnt play Garbutt though.

Garbutt Thursday maybe? I was disappointed to, but if we're honest, 3 points at home vs West Ham is more vital than 3 at Wolfsburg. (Not that I'd rather trust Hibbert to Garbutt, just for reference).

If there's one thing I've learned from listening to Roberto so far is that he lies more than a cheating husband.

The Catalan fibber.

Don't give up yet.

Having said that, Jagielka, Stones, Distin, Browning, Alcaraz, Galloway, Hibbert (if it's urgent) is quite a lot of defenders really.
Barry and Besic have also played CB and plus another youngster in Pennington, you might question some of the quality but we have a lot of depth there, unlike on the wings.

Can see us going in for Joel Campbell on loan from Arsenal which would be a smart move but couldn't see them giving him to us. Saw rumours of Kevin Kampl of RB Salzburg being available for £5m and I'd take him in a heartbeat.

What's that Kampl like mate?

He's an assist machine. Plays in any of the 3 positions behind the striker but has a low centre of gravity and fantastic vision, aswell as being quite quick. He's one of them in the Mané, Tadić and Bešić mould who would be worth taking a chance on because of the skills he's shown in Austria. He's 24 aswell which suggests he's got years of improving aswell.

I'm sold.

How much day reckon?

I mentioned Kampl on at least five separate occasions in the Summer transfer thread, and for good reason. He's exactly the midfielder we need and also a perfectly realistic target.
