Where are all these shouts about getting deulofeo coming from?

He's on loan at Sevilla for the season isn't he?

Plus we need a winger, plus he loved it here, plus he'd fit in with the rest of our exciting young prospects, plus it's hard as hell to break into the barca team...it makes sense!

I'm holding out hope anyway.

I would love to see del back here, think he would have torn it up after a year of getting used to the prem.

I can't see it happening tho, Enrique came out with some snide remarks about him having his creativity stifled while he was with us so can't see barca sending him back to us and last time I checked he was starting to become a fixture in the Sevilla team anyway

Those quotes were made up by a twitter martinez parody then got published in newspapers. He never said that.

Can a player be sold whilst they're on loan? Even if it meant that the player has to stay at the club til the end of the loan but would then go to the new owner after the loan ends?

I believe it can happen. But it depends on a lot of things. For example, if Sevilla have paid Barca a lump sum for Deulofeu for the whole season that would obviously massively complicate things.

Yeah I would be

He's 31, never been the quickest.

What is it that you think he could bring to us?

I just think Martinez would really like him and would get the best out of him

Experienced player who has won multiple trophies

Played in the Champions League

Relatively well skilled and still got a couple of years or so left in him at a decent level

Another body for when the injuries inevitably pile up

No transfer fee if we get him out of contract

Thats fair enough - I just think if we are bringing in a wide man we need pace. McGeady is very Commons-like but most probably the better player.

Free is a free though I guess
