Tbh he's good enough to demand that, he's CL quality. I doubt he'd join either us or the rs, doesn't mean we shouldn't try. I'd rather spend our budget on one class player than a few depth signings. We've had a horror run of injuries and then squad has managed to cope decently.

Well That is obvious regarding the state of our squad now I think just buying one or two quality players rather then 5 squad players is what we should be doing.

its just that people think these players will want to come to us then get all wound up when we don't get them. Although I'd love him here and I agree we have nothing to loose in trying to get him, I really doubt he would be interested in coming here.

having said that I thourght the same about lukaku, eto, Barry and mirallas. so it can happen.

Doesn't qualify him as decent. Cheap doesn't make him better. He's rank average, won't improve us and isnt worth buying irrespective of his price.
