So in fact we have not increased numbers in the squad at all once Donovan heads back across the pond. Out go Billy and Saha to be replaced by Gibbo and Jelavic.

Once we've said goodbye to Straq and Drenthe in the summer we are gonna be critically low on players with little or no budget to bring in decent replacements.

Cerci didn't want to leave Italy, however was really keen on us and monolas deal fell through due to personal reasons. I hope we sign cerci on loan this summer and monolas as a free agent!

We bring in a new striker and still save money. The Jelavic deal should net out against the Bilyaletdinov payments, plus the removal of Saha from the wage bill should make about a £50k pw dent in the salary expenditure.
