We need to get away from this obsession some fans seem to have with having a big target man up top, it's just too easy for other teams to play against and it's very predictable. We also currently have wingers, none of whom can cross or pass the ball properly so it's utterly pointless anyway imo. Any striker that comes in needs to be the sort that can make a chance off their own back and does not need to be handed everything on a plate to them.

Just by getting Townsend and McNeil wide DCL will get 30 goals. For the person he keeps mention chris wood, McNeil played with him last yr and got one assist, up to wood going to Newcastle and wood didn’t score many.

Playing big target men and trying to smash crosses to them, will only get you so far. Yes let’s sack frank and bring in Dyche, he buys someone 6ft 6 in January and we go route one, 442. It may get us safe and get us to 13th the following season, but what do we do if we seriously want to challenge the top 7 and go for Europe, basically rip it up and start again.

We can't attract that sort of player though, even if we made a few sales (we won't it will be loans due to the crazy wages our players are on) what player is really going to want to come to 17th place Everton? We are a basket case of a club at the moment and even if we did make sales the last thing we need is to be spending big money and big wages on an individual. We are just going to have to tread water for a while imo and any future signings need to be very carefully analysed before buying/signing to make sure they will contribute, we simply can't afford anymore 'hangers on/deadwood' Lets just hope Moshiri was on holiday for a reason the other day.
