Jermaine Beckford... what's his deal?

So the silly American (me) wants to know what your guys take is on Leeds forward Jermaine Beckford.

He seems to have an outstanding goal scoring record in his career:

Why has he not played anywhere else? Have any of you guys seen him play in person. When I run Leeds on Manager Mode in FIFA (omg FIFA mention!) he's pretty damn good.

He's still relatively young too at 26

My mate is a leeds fan and he absolutely worships him. Rates him higher than he ever did Delph. Plus he played for Wealdstone, the club who made Stuart Pearce. I'd have him in a heartbeat

Lower league record and a very poor attitude, I'm sure he's been done for spitting on players and elbowing a keeper.

And 26 is too old now. Leeds will be wanting to get at least 6mill for him which is steep for a league 2 player.

Beckford is considered a league 2 player when they in league 1 and he produces?

IIRC he is out of contract in the summer, but otherwise you are correct, he is an arsehole by all accounts.

If we are going to dip into League One for players, we could do worse than taking a serious look at Jordan Rhodes or Antony Pilkington, both of whom play for Huddersfield.

There use to be a Beckford at Oldham years ago, I thought it was him when he first came onto the scene.

He'll be at Old TRafford later today, I don't give Leeds much chance here, strange thing is he only has a valuation of around £2 million, I value him higher than that.

Expect him to be snapped up by bigger fish somewhere down the line, he's actually not too bad a forward. He reminds me of the former Leeds striker Rodney Wallace, both good finishers.

2013, FM, hes at Villa. They are top, conceded just 10 goals all season in the league with 25 games played, they are unbeaten, im 4 points behind em.

I havent scouted him, I have Lloris, he just won Goalkeeper of the year and I have a 19 year GK wonderkid as back up, I dont need him, so havent scouted the lid. When I played Villa tho he saved everything my players hit him with.

Great chance to see Beckford today tho, shop window for sure, I bet he chokes.

Beckford aint all that. He's doing ok, AT BLOODY LEEDS! A LEAGUE 1 SIDE.

And he's not exactly that young either. He's like 25 or 26.

I'm gonna buy FM next chance I get.

Im on my 3rd season, 1st season I finished runners up in most things.

, 2nd season I won the League and the CL. 3rd season im doing ok. Ive only spent about £1.2bn. Not bad really. CHEAT ME?? NEVER, Bill found some money under his sofa.

I cant say ive ever watched Beckford, will be watching him in 10mins or so. Gonna be a cracking atmos tho.
