Jesus Christ, That's....

Both experience a warm, fuzzy feeling.

Not half as warm and fuzzy feeling he felt the day he got hit...

It was great to see the reaction from Upson Downes when I posted the story on the Leicester forum.

What a brilliant surprise, way beyond my wildest dreams! You've just brought real memories back from over half a century ago - and left me with a printable souvenir! THANKS THANKS AND THANKS AGAIN!

He's lucky the ball didn't go laces first else he would have had a permanent reminder every time he looked in the mirror! :hayee:

All messing aside, that was a great story and good investigating.

Is that why we had semicircles behind the goals then? I'd assumed it was some elegant design flourish - turns out it was yob inspired.
I think fifa enforced it for the World Cup in ‘66. They deemed the crowd behind the goals too close to the field of play.
