John Stones transfer saga

How much will we get for Stones? £30M-£35M? There's the answer staring you and everyone else in the face.

Almost into the season and no serious transfer movement? That's all I need to know about this summer's transfer kitty.

You know nothing mate. You are guessing on this. I will repeat. You said you have 100% record on how much we have to spend. So how much? Do you know that as fact?

We did generate that cash - the summer and winter previous to the Lukaku deal.

100%...100%...

Second: all the toasting of this board for throwing down on Lukaku - they'd have to buy another 4 Lukaku's to make up for the massive disinvestment over the past 15 years. They remain an utter disgrace.[/QUOTE]

I'll hazard a guess at our total summer spend: slightly less or slightly more than £10M net (I'm still convinced Martinez will have to ship out also). The loan market will be worked furiously again. We'll end up with maybe one body more than last season which will be arrived at only on the basis that three of the academy players will be said to have earned their first team squad place.

I could have predicted that after January. This is Kenwright's Everton; and Kenwright's Everton do not spend.

Now that doesn't look like 100% to me over the the last 12 months D and I can't even be bothered using my time past the next 2 minutes to see if you've ever been successful with this sort of negative doom scenario before then.

You've got a less successful strike rate than Kone, Dave, stop with the perpetual negative [Poor language removed].

Everyone sees he's gifted with the ball at his feet. But you can bet your bottom dollar that Mourinho wouldn't play him in big games in the near future. He's just not up to the job of being aware of where he needs to be as a defender.

Anyone would think that Stones wasn't part of an Everton defence that cant defend set pieces. He's a massive culprit in that.

Well off top notch for me.

We'll regret it if we dont bite Mourinho's hand off when they come back with £30M.

At 21, it's a big ask to expect him to be at that level which is why Jose is holds the aces. He joins Chelsea they spend the best part of £30m on their requires English contingent and plucky little Everton get Ron Vlaar on a free, he's got Ty browning & Galloway there as well, Galloway is as highly rated as Stones btw.

Anyone not wanting to believe where this situation is inevitably heading, be my guest. Anyone doubting we need to sell Stones, ditto.

You;ll be sorely

That's a good point. I think we'll be well covered in the eventuality Stones leaves. We'd need an additional CB to be bought but we can survive his sale and strengthen elsewhere.

Can we change the name of the thread to 25 million rejected now do one Jose you bad blurt?!

Need to keep stones for at least this season, he's terrys successor so we should hold them to ransom and take 40+ off them

Sold:

Fellaini 27 mil
Chebes 6 mil
Jela 7.5 mil

Total 40.5 mil

And ins from 13/14 and 14/15:

Lukaku 28 mil
Barry 2 mil signing agreement from loan
Deulofeu loan, free because he played so many games
McCarthy 13 mil
Kone 6.5 mil
McGeady 1 mil
Joel 1.5 mil
Besic 4 mil

Total 56 mil

Net: 15.5 mil spent

So let's call that 7.25 mil budget per season, which is probably around our prize money from our league finishes and not input from the board. Not exactly good backing from the board, is it?

Its 22.8m Net Friend, I did the math.
