The lad made it plain he wanted to go last summer, he got his head down and got on with it though.

He made no secret of the fact he wanted to join City once that interest appeared, he's got his wish and we've got a bucket load of cash.

No malice towards the lad, and whilst I think we've lost a top drawer footballer, we've not lost a top drawer defender.

It was a good deal for them, they've ended up with £10m for the lad in total, which is telephone numbers to them.

It'll set their club up for the next few years.

Learn how to defend and he is a cracking player.
Have my doubts whether he will or whether he actually wants to though.

This is why we've got a good price. He is a centre half who needs to learn how to defend, like Sterling is a striker who needs to learn how to shoot, and City have pad £100 million for the 2 of them.
