Jonjoe Kenny

He did everything better today than Digne could do, and doesn't get brushed off as easily. All out of his natural position too. Good lad, I'd not be swapping him for fatass Shaw any time soon. Competition out of the blue for Myko. Good call Frank.
Rubbish, some of his crossing was suspect and there were a couple of occasions when in good positions it broke down as he crossed with his left foot and the ball went out play. He played well but not let’s get ahead of ourselves.

It was his only negative yesterday, but for a right back playing left back it wasn't unsurprising. I thought his cross using the outside of his right foot looked good.

Let’s relax a bit.

He’s had one (very good) game.

Jonjoe was fantastic and had his best game, but he's still a RB. Happy for him to do a job at LB until Mykolenko gets better and finds his feet.

And let's not big him up too much and let the lad play. You gotta be consistent week in and week out. We just have too high expectations for some of these players and that can ruin a player's confidence if we're expecting too much.

To be fair, his crossing isn't going to be as good. Right footed player has to cut in. I thought he played very well. Might be worth keeping hold of him.

Has any manager actually invested time with this lad (as in training)? Possibly Baines and Cole can improve the lad? Has he ever played CB? The solution to some of the FFP woes is to find value in what we already have in terms of squad utility players. A new contract for JJK is a lot cheaper than a signing such as Gbamin or Delph, plus we know that he isn't injury prone.
