We have the near post man. Once that ball goes over that area Where the man is marking the near post space (about 3/4 yards off the lane just ahead of the post) he’s meant to drop onto the post. It’s just the modern coaching method.

It’s very rare there’s anyone on the far post these days.

Red here, and I remember being told here that Picfkord is better than De Gea. Now, I like taking the piss a bit with you lot. But, seriously I think even without bias, you might need an upgrade on Pickford. His reputation is better than his real game. Seems just like Mignolet if I am honest.

Lindolof is the worst defender ever.

Typical bitter red. The only upgrade on Pickford is De Gea and I hope you notice that De Gea has already made several mistakes this season, more than pickford and both have made less mistakes than your keeper who has to be one of the worst in the Prem
 
Pickford is the only signing we've made in the last twelve months that you could say categorically has been a success

I don't even particularly blame him for Liverpool's winner on Friday - firstly Holgate lets Van Dijk go and Van Dijk gets an unobstructed run at the ball and no challenge. Secondly Niasse, who is meant to be stood on the near post, switches off and wanders out - he would clear VVD's header off the line if he's stood where he's meant to be.

Pickford's decision to come for the ball is what you notice most, but it's the least important of the three mistakes, because even if he stays on his line, it's probably asking a lot for him to save it given where the ball ends up
