Transfer Rumour Joshua Zirkzee

I dont think any of us really know. But the idea that players will be put off joining everton because we let a young player go to PSG, is just a bit ridiculous.

We didn't give him a proper run of games.

The only thing that's ridiculous is not being able to see how that might affect us signing other young strikers.

Possibly for similar reasons that he uses a veteran who couldn't get a game at Real Madrid.
Or he doesn’t trust inexperience.
Neither Gordon, Ncouncou or Branthwaite are getting games this year. We’ve gone with experience because youth didnt work last year.
Davies gets games because although he is young, he had plenty of experience.
Zirked would never get a game. He will be behind DCL, Richarlison and Tosun.

Tosun has proved in the last few games ( if it was ever in doubt) he's not suited to Ancelotti's set up. If either of the others got any type of long-term problem we'd need a like for like replacement. Any player with no Prem experiènce is a risk but given the money being mentioned not a big one.
He scored in the game he started in, and Ancelotti mentioned it.
Zirked would be behind Tosun.

Just like Moise Kean at Juve, who also couldn’t get a game under Ancelotti.

He will always go for experience.

Thats my concern (and Bayern fans stating his finishing aside his all round game is poor) will he get time to develop here?

I would still take him over Toshun like but think we need more of a Giroud impact off the bench type signing than a young lad still learning the ropes.

One positive is he seems a big lad so may be more suited for a target man role than Kean.

Perhaps, dare I say it, Gordon, Nkounkou, and Branthwaite are simply...not good enough right now.

I've no dog in this race - maybe this signing, should it happen, is a Brands move. If so, it's possible that Carlo will not make as much use of him as he would if he were his pick. If a player is good enough, I'm sure an old hand like Carlo will play him when the time comes, whatever his age.

This

A January signing has to make a difference this season. I think C s you g inexperienced lad coming from another country with no experience of the league is unlikely to have the immediate impact we want.

Certainly possible, but a young lad in a new club / language / country / league, expected to lift us into CL.

He won’t get played. He’s one for the future.

Prediction for you if this lad comes in Tosun will be sold. Tosun has an eye for goal but doesn't have the mobility or pace to play up front on his own and offers little from the bench.

He probably speaks decent English as a Dutchman to be fair but that’s just an assumption. They’re similar languages grammatically. He’s come off the bench for Bayern a fair few times and has bagged some goals. We were looking at him a few years ago so he’s always been someone of interest for us which is reassuring. Physically, he looks suited to what we need (6’4 and energetic). It will be difficult to get the more ‘finished article’ in on loan and be happy to play from the bench and cups. We need bodies and competition, we’ve wanted him for a while evidently and for that reason I’m on board for the signing in both the short and long term.
*edit, I’m not getting too carried away thinking he’ll get us CL but he’s a body and he fits into the transfer ‘strategy’. Hope we get him
