So another question.

How does this rep system work then. I am trying to understand the finer points of the forum. I have read the rules and such. But I have received positive reps for a couple of posts (thanks, nice touch that). What does it mean? What does it affect? Can I give positive feedback and such?

Also, what are the main no-no's that will get me negged?

It's largely just a bit of fun that allows members to show appreciation for a particular post. As you gain more rep points you can dish out more in return. It's a simple way of showing a degree of credibility on the forum, but aside from being able to give more yourself, it doesn't bestow any other privileges on you.
