Girlfriend: "Will you come to my presentation to get my award?"
Me: "when is it?"
Girlfriend: "blah blah blah Thursday night
Me: "yeah alright sound"

So she orders tickets.

Since then she has asked loads of times if I am still ok to go and each time I have just said yeah without taking much notice.

She just reminded me again - and the penny dropped. Its this Thursday night when we play Standard Liege. I cant help but feel someone out there is teaching me a lesson for not listening.

This is going to be a tough one to get out of. :dodgy:

When the penny dropped and I reacted in disbelief at my luck, telling her of the match she said straight away that its sound and to go the game - brushing it off as if it didnt matter.

To be honest though, thats the worst thing she could have done. Would feel badly crap now.

OH Danny you have a lot to learn mate,your like a lamb to the slaughter,all women have the ability to make you feel guilty and the worse you feel the better they like it trouble is its not until yeas of experiance do you realise it my advice tape the match and escort her as believe me the little digs and hurt looks will haunt you:lol:

Two legs mate, id go with the girlfriend ive been dumped twice over chooseing Everton over grilfriends doesnt go down well!

What station is showing the game, better not be channel five cant get it over here?
 
If you really like her, she comes first

If you think she's just okay, the blues come first

Just envisage the night after the girlie ceremony

It'll be better than the Liege game

Just remember to subtly point out that she meant more to you than the match
