Our defence and Midfield are both stronger since he arrived and I'll hazard a guess we'll finish this summer window with a stronger attack than what we've had post Ancelotti also.

Since January we’ve lost 2 keepers, 3 defenders and 3 midfielders and we look likely to lose another 2 attacking players. We don’t even remotely look close to making a signing, much less agreeing any deals for players

I think you should be focusing more on the second part of his post, that we aren’t remotely close to signing anyone.

Mina, Coady and Gordon were all starters but that’s not the point, the point is we’re even weaker than we were 12 months ago but hey that’s fine for some

We have literally just played a full season without a proper striker and even when we had a month (January) to sort it so as to try and avoid another relegation battle, we ended the window worse than when we started it which takes some doing when you consider how bad we already were.

This fella should have been fired when the other 3 stooges went and must definitely be on his final chance to do his job properly. Been absolutely god dam awful so far. Got to be a massive improvement immediately.

Lampard pushed for Maupay and wanted his team building around DCL who we all knew wouldn't stay fit mate.

Whilst a CF would have been nice in January the questions raised are:

1. Did we have the money to sign a decent one ?

2. Where there any decent ones out there available who wanted to join a club in a relegation scrap in between manager appointments and a fanbase at war with the clubs board ?

Saints spent £40-50m on that tall Paul and the winger we were linked with and Wolves loaned Cunha and have to fork out €44m to sign him permanently and none of them did anything of note.

There is a shortage in world football of quality strikers truth be told and I dont think in January we would have signed anyone worth the fee we would have had to have paid imo other than Ings who apparently wouldn't entertain a move ere.

It's hard to judge him because of the budget constraints and the ludcrious transfer system we have with owner and chair having to sign off any player. However it's been underwhelming so far some good signings and the crucial ones in forward areas have been questionable

Any DoF hired is, by the very nature of who is appointing them, going to be a yes man and then eventually, a fall guy.

Walsh was a total yes man and dreadful appointment because he had zero experience in the role. He took the fall.

Brands I think actually had a backbone however things were made very comfortable for him with a place on the board and a very handsome salary. He was handcuffed and then scapegoated.

This bloke appears to be more of a yes man than Walsh because he’s come from a dodgy club and is intrinsically linked with certain agents. He will of course take the fall and the payout.

Change needs to occur at the top (as we all already know).

Onana hasn’t improved us, Garner started the last 4 games and McNeil only started coming good in March.
