Just thought I'd list my thoughts on the factors which can damn a football club to relegation. RS should take note.

(A) The Board of the club is divided
(B) The clubs finances are shot, or very badly managed
(c) The Board and owners are at war
(D) Upstairs problems restrict the managers spending power
(E) The manager is distracted by upstairs issues
(f) The manager is weak and this is transmitted to the players
(G) The majority of the players are not good enough for the team, or do not have a fight when results don't go their way

Most of these factors were present when both Leeds and Newcastle got relegated. The RS exhibit many of these factors at the moment.

The situation bar a last minute legal bid or new information looks to be resolved as a bid by the American owner of the Boston Red Sox has been accepted.

LFC are whether we like to dream it or not, too good to go down by far.

Yanks II don't know about the secret weapon that stops the Mersey Red Sucks from winning the league - it's called lack of depth of talent on the Roster and the slight misfortune of the Double Round-Robin rule - instead of getting a hand up by the scheduling

you forgot about the draft.

Where the best players balls are warmed so that someone like Jan Molby can feel them and tell who they are.
