Laptop problem

Alright lads, my laptop's being a nob and I need help.

Every 6 weeks or so, I log on with my touchpad/mouse working fine and everything, but as soon as I log on it stops working, can't move it or anything, so what I usually do is troubleshoot and refresh my P.C.

A few days ago it made me download Windows 8.1, and today I had the same problem, so I went to troubleshoot and refresh it as usual but it wouldn't let me, something about a drive being locked and it needed to be unlocked...what do I do?

Explain to me like I'm 5.

I used to do the factory restore thingy for any problems . Have you tried an external mouse with a USB connection . If it is the mouse pad , a normal mouse might work . Your laptop manufacturer might have driver update software you can download

Update your driver software.
Restore factory settings back to before you were having the issues.
Update your BIOS.
Google the error message.
Sawdust.

If all that fails, might have to get it looked at.

Nah it's not the mouse that isn't working really, it works everywhere else, just when I log on.

Try going into control panel, right clicking on the touchpad and choosing update driver.

Mate it's not the mouse, hence when I refresh the laptop it works. It's a hardrive thing I think.

It sounds like your starter motor is broke mate.
