Last Film You Watched

Right, there's a few of you (in the nic coppola club at that!) that've raved about a fairly recent Kurt Russell actioner set around the western horror genre, that's right ladies and gents, on channel Legend at 10:55pm...

For the night owls, the recut godfather coda 2020 release of the third part of the trilogy is on channel 4 at 12:15am (till 3am!!) if you're looking to complete the set. motd is going in the bin, cba with 'the martian' (bbc1 11:45pm)
Although this did catch my eye, I don't know anything about it yet... Film4 11:20pm

Empty Man is good too, seemed to divide the critics though.

Hour to go, this is playing a bit like 'heart of darkness', I can sense a twist coming, but why ditch the other fellow, lets see...
 
Bone Tomahawk.

Touch of 'grindhouse', 'escape from alcatraz', 'apocalypse now', 'the hills have eyes', even a bit of 'jaws'. It's an homage film. Can see how he went on to do 'cell block 99'. 'the hitcher', 'predator', a couple of others I can't name right now. All together pretty meh. Average!

Like a load of other films with scenes stitched together to cobble this crud together. What's the message? 'thou shalt not step on thy neighbours lawn'?

Don’t agree with this at all, it’s a classic Western Horror, which would translate into a fantastic book too.
 
12 Angry Men (1957)

Been on the list for ages this, but never got round to it, until now.

Something of a masterpiece I reckon. 12 characters in a room. No action, very little score, and still manages to be genuinely gripping through a great script, fantastic performances and clever direction. I absolutely loved it, and will be rewatching it as soon as I can.

Yeh it's great. Surprised Chris Tucker didn't pop off more in 00's as he's a funny character. The films are SO racist though lol don't think you could make them today.
