Taking a guess it’s the godfather you’ve seen? Space Odyssey and vertigo are great movies, well worth a try! Don’t think I’ve seen the rest myself.

Escape from New York
The thing
The hateful 8
Big trouble in little China
Tombstone
Death proof…

Tombstone is decent.

Don’t. Watch. Rebel. Moon.

Holy cow that is a bad film. Looks expensive to make as well. I guess it’s for the younger generation who don’t know that George Lucas already made it about 8 times already.

Nothing wrong with it. Just a play and switch off film.

Had never heard of 5 & 8 but will check them out

It's reminded me I started Tokyo Story last year and didn't get to finish it. I loved what I watched, but that might have been more the fascination at seeing an older culture I know feck all about.

Will watch it through once I get my brand new TV fixed as it's decided to go black screen all of sudden and nothing I've tried can fix it....sound working but no image!

An early Adam Driver.

The true story of Robyn Davidson, who walked 1700 miles, across the Australia outback, accompanied by four camels and her dog.

Beautifully filmed, but very slow due not much happening during her journey.

Adam Driver plays the photographer from National Geographic, who documents her journey.

One for a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Netflix.
I took a Qantas.

Watched Manchurian Candidate and Sweet Smell of Success today

First one was a classy thriller with decent performances and a strong message still relevant today (no, not referring to Comrade DaveKs love-in with Labours leader). Reminded me also to check out Sinatra in Man With The Golden Arm and to watch some more Frankenheimer starting with Seconds.

Second one was fantastic. Great script, great performances and looked great. A real bonafide classic for me. Didn't realise the director also did one of my favourite movies Ladykillers and also did two other Ealing comedies that I hadn't yet seen.
