Last Film You Watched

I did enjoy it Pat, don't get me wrong just didn't think it was as good as it's hyped up to be, might give it another viewing as I was tired at the time, I'm just about to watch no escape though I dont know why, Owen Wilson is the lead role and I don't like the fella
give it another go mate, blew me away on the third watch, I think it's a rare instance of the film being better than the book too

haven't seen no escape, don't mind owen wilson, in comedies anyway

One of the WORST movies of the year:

The Hateful Eight

Its basically a very poor, childish bore of a movie. Typical Samuel L Jackson typecasting and zero plot (well you can see through it immediately but expect much more to happen...it doesnt).

Dont bother watching it....its TERRIBLE !
Watch it boxing night, thought the same, lots and lots and lots of dialogue............typical Tarantino effort with exploding heads and tons of blood, wouldn't ruin 3 hours of a persons life by recommending it

Watched a few screeners this week. Watched Creed. Pretty awful but the 2nd half is almost an Everton advert. A walk in the woods. Not that bad but the casting was way off, Redford as Bryson just didn't work for me. The peanuts movie. Was alright, the kids enjoyed it. The style reminded me of Gumball. And the hateful eight. Too long, pretty average film with some good parts

Thought I would watch a couple of older films, the ones that other people seem to know and I don't.

Klute: Real 70s film. Pretty good movie from Alan J. Pakula and one of his warm up efforts for All The President's Men. Much copied since which is why it seems a bit samey watching it these days. A good detective thriller with Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland.

Stand By Me: Many famous faces from the youngsters playing this. I was prepared to hate it and it took a while to get used to the way the kids spoke but I liked it a lot. Growing up in small town USA on the eve of (what we would call) secondary school and at the age when many realisations dawn, the film follows some of the last days of childhood of a group of lads. There must be scope for a good British remake. Instead of the woods and fields of Oregon using the derelict areas of 1970s Liverpool.

A hooligans night last night
1 football factory
2 awaydays
3 ID
FF still a great film, awaydays great sound track, slightly homo-erotic scalls and awful accents, Id best of the bunch "I f**kin love you Gumbo"
Did start watching the remake of the firm but the lead actor was a mere shadow of a character conpared to Gary Oldman in the original
