Happy march, Liverpool Council have been under special measures for 3.5 years as part of the Tory government, they anticipate this investigation will be formally completed this month, I’ve sorta alluded to it in some of the stadium thread because I believe there will be some sort of mention of the stadium (negative or positive I am not sure tbh)
No insider information just perusing the government publications cos I’m a very boring old man.
1. Announcement of special investigation/intervention
www.gov.uk
2. Greater control a year later =
www.theguardian.com
3. Transitioned from commissioner led, to statutory board (not sure what this means tbh)

4. Anticipated conclusion of the above board in march 2025 =
I am not sure we will ever know what the actual outcome might be here but as far as I know it definitely involved as Joe Anderson was arrested in December 2020 as part of Operation Aloft, which started this entire debacle and a police investigation into allegations of bribery, witness intimidation, and corruption related to property development deals in Liverpool which may or have not involved the new stadium I know our interest probably preceded this but still, and the obvious absence of any forward planning (Sandhills, parking, contracts etc)
Anyway, we await.
