We do need to improve as we made errors in the small but vital areas of the game today. The tactical kicking by both Wilkinson and Catt was poor and we didn't really have the territory until the final quarter. I've never been a fan of Catt and he had another poor game tonight but will Ashton change a winning side?

The front five did well against the French pack in the scrum but our work at the breakdown didn't match the performance against Australia last weekend and we got turned over a few times.

Like I said, little things like that meant any rythym and control of the game was never possible, which made it a nervy encounter. Thankfully France looked equally nervous and our defence remained solid.

Should be interesting to see how tommorrow goes.

looking at yesterday, i actually gave more of a [Poor language removed] in the rugby than i did in the football.

Considering at the outset we had no chance, not winning it isn't such a big disapppointment. I actually feel very proud of our team who after all lost to what is now the best team in the world. No team can be criticised if they give their all in trying to win without having to resort to cheating, unlike some I could mention
