Seen a rumour on the BBC, that we are linked with a move (along with Liverpool, Spurs etc of course)

Seems a good young English midfielder, but I think I'd prefer a more creative central player really?

Weird- just posted on another thread how much I rate him. Him and Arteta in the middle would do it for me- hes young, tenacious and would literally die for the cause. Think he would add some needed steel to the middle.

Yeah, I totally agree with that, but just thinking how many central midfielders can we play in Arteta, Cahill, Fellaini, Club Captain Neville....

Maybe we could make Cattermole a right winger or right back?! Ha

Wigan has made alot from transfers and has not spend a 1/3 of it yet. so I can't see them getting rid of him unless they get a can't refuse offer. Everton doesn't do can't refuse offers.

If we are going to go the hard working central mid to pair with (hopefully sometime this year) Arteta. Bradley is a better player and probably cheaper.

Lescott has not gone and the club have said again he is not leaving just like Wigan told prospective buyers of Cattermole.

I dont think we will get him, I dont even think he will go anywhere,

Wigan are trying to sign some players and the press seem to think they are about to sell Cattermole, so they are linking him with the "usual suspects"

Would be a useful player to have.

But would we need him in the squad with Pienaar, Cahill, Arteta, Screech, Osman, Rodwell, Neville, Gosling, Peterlin and Wallace. I know that Peterlin and Wallace wont pay a huge part if any but we have 8 good midfielders (7 if you dont include Osman) do we really need another.

Rather spend money on a new CB or RB.
