Another word class performance from Lee mason in the wba v Brighton game. I always shudder when I see his name down for one of our games. Is he the worst ref in English football or even the worst English ref ever?

They're be all terrible, maybe Kavanagh is alright now, only just a bit though, refereeing in this league needs a massive over haul but I doubt it will ever happen because that would mean the FA admitting something is wrong

All of the shocking decisions have Lee mason involved in some way. The soucek sending off was Lee mason on var duty who told the ref to review it.

Yeah hes an awful ref, probably the better known of them but they are all terrible, it's amazed me how it's been that bad for that long though, mason has took over clattenburg in the better known catagory of terrible refs and will probably pass the bellend torch onto some new gimp soon, untill the FA make a change then it will carry on the way it is and has been

Clattenburg was dodgy and a massive tit but was a highly regarded ref. Lee mason is just a clown. He doesn't seem to understand football.

I watched the way he was running/waddling and thought is he injured or is that just how he runs, he could barely keep up with play

So I only heard a little of this but apparently Dunk had a goal disallowed because he blew the whistle before it crossed the line or something? Could someone please expand on this for me?

Brighton had a free kick. Dunk asked if he could take it. Mason blew the whistle so dunk took the free kick. Before it went in, mason blew the whistle again, disallowing the goal. The Brighton players complained, so he gave the goal. He was then advised to review the goal on the monitor. He did and then disallowed the goal (again).

So he doesn't understand the rules of football or know how many times he blew his whistle. He is a disgrace.

Inept and totally without conviction. Not the best attributes for a referee
